How will Oprah's decision to not let Sarah Palin on her show affect the average American woman?

I think the average American woman sees Oprah as our superwoman. She started with nothing and is now the richest self made woman in the world. The non-political women out there see this decision as a sign I think. If Oprah, someone who all women look up to won't even allow this woman on her show what does that tell you?
In my eyes McCain chose Palin, this extremely unqualified and pretty much random lady to join him in his campaign, meerly to get womens' votes out there. It was a total jackass move and plenty of Americans can see this. Good luck McCain!!

I too am a HUGE oprah fan and i support her 100%. I don't necessarily think she is purposely not letting Palin on her show to prove anything about Palins credibilaty I think it has more to do with the fact that Oprahs show is not a political show!
Even though she is openely an Obama supporter, i think her decision has more to do with the fact that she doesn't want to introduce those topics on her show so close to election time. I don't think her decision has anything to do with Palin personaly, i think it is a profesional decision.

There is some controversy on the sources of this story, and whether or not it's accurate...

Well its obvious that Oprah supports Obama 100%, but it's funny to me that she's trying to push him on all of her fans/viewers. Oprah has always been about women's rights and empowering women to believe in themselves, follow their dreams and that anything is possible. So I think that it is kind of strange that she is not allowing Sarah Palin on her show.

I don't believe that by having Palin on her show is saying that she supports her and McCain, I believe that it would be saying women can do anything they set their mind to and to fight for what they want. Having a women for Vice President would make history and I think that it would also encourage women. I really think that Oprah made a mistake by not allowing Sarah Palin on her show.
