Is our democratic republic fragile? If so, what will break it?

Our democratic republic is fragile at the moment, and is becoming more and more fragile everyday. The fundamental principle that I make this statement is upon the principle of morality. Fundamental to the entire system of people's law is a strong commitment to a very basic code of solid morality.

Benjamin Franklin stated: "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." John Adams said: "Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." Samuel Adams warning: "Neither the wisest constitution not the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt." They were religious men, and our moral standards in America are deteriorating. So our democratic republic is fragile, keeps moving left, and will break.
